Welcome Message

Welcome to the Website of Saxony Lodge No. 842.

I have the pleasure to be Worshipful Master of this my Mother Lodge and follow in the footsteps of those who have taught me with the humility this great organisation deserves.

WBro John Barrass is to be congratulated for putting this site together, not only for his skills in doing so but also for his time, patience and dedication, as these web pages advance us forward in carrying our traditions to all who are interested in our Lodge and will serve as an additional tool to promote our Masonic arts.

I was filled with a great sense of pride when installed as Master of Saxony Lodge in April this year, and felt quite overwhelmed with the various tasks in front of me for the coming Masonic year. With great support and experience from not only Past Masters, but also the core element of Brethren within the Lodge, enthusiastic with new ideas and challenges, my time as Worshipful Master began. Your loyalty and support is not only appreciated but also necessary and I thank you all.

Saxony Lodge has a great history and in order for our Lodge to move forward and for us to do our founders and ourselves proud, we must actively advance ourselves each and every day, step by step, precept upon precept, in knowledge and experience. I feel that the practice of our teachings in every day life will leave a marked impression on those who we are in contact with, wither it be at home, work or socially, so that nothing we do or say can be aimed at the Craft through our individual failings, but only serve to generate interest from those who can see it's benefits.

For all those who are visiting these pages out of interest, you are most welcome.

Freemasonry is our way of life. It keeps us bonded together in a fraternal manner and unites us socially in carrying out good works on behalf of others. Charity appears in many forms; an hour spent assisting a brother or friend or a stranger, making good use of our skills to aid others, our financial help and often our way of thinking and positive attitude put to good use. Using our abilities and means is an obligation and not a chore. This is our message to our communities and families and we all benefit from it.

Finally, we are always interested in others who share this common way of doing business throughout life and look forward to hearing from you.

Please enjoy this web site and take the time to browse through the pages and learn a little more about Freemasonry in the Celle community.

Yours fraternally,

Paul A MacLean
Worshipful Master
